Ali Al Khaburi

Senior GRC Manager, Nama Shared Services LLC

Ali Zuhair Al Khaburi is the Senior Manager for IT GRC in NSS. He has been tasked with developing, implementing and maintaining Governance, Risk & Compliance and Cyber Security Governance programmes in NSS. In addition to his role at NSS, he has also been tasked to work with Nama Group Companies in the area of Cyber Security which lead to him successfully getting approval to form the Nama Group Cyber Security Sharing Committee whose members comprise of those responsible for Cyber Security in IT & OT across 12 different Nama Group Companies in the Electricityl and Waste Water sectors. Prior to joining the Nama Group, he was the Information Security Lead at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) responsible for IT and OT Cyber Security as well as a Cyber Security advisor to the Ministry of Oil & Gas. His career spans 17 years in various IT Operations and Security roles where for the last 10 years he specialised in the field of Information and Cyber Security. He holds an MBA from West Virginia University as a Fulbright scholar and a BSc Hns in Computer and Business Studies from the University of Warwick.

Fahad Al Kaabi

Instrument Engineer Manager, Oman LNG

Fahad has worked on the field of Automation and QMI for more than 20 years. He has a comprehensive international experience where he worked with several International and national companies like Oman LNG, Shell, Dow Chemicals, Orpic and Aromatics Oman. Fahd holds a Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineer and TUV functional Saftey Engineer and PMP certification.

Humaid Al Shueili

ICAT Engineering Lead, Occidental Petroleum

As a certified Functional Safety Professional (TUV FSP), currently Humaid Al Shueili is working for Occidental Oman as an instrument control and Automation and Control Engineering Lead. Humaid finished his degree from Massey University majoring in Automation and Control Engineering. He has extensive experience in the field of process automation, control, GTG control, Alarm Rationalization, SIL verification, fiber optics and networking, wireless communication, SCADA, RTUs, and servers’ configuration. Striving for continuous improvements towards smooth, well integrated, controlled process. Humaid Al Shueili believes in continuous knowledge gaining towards enhancement in process control and automation for maximised efficiency and productivity.

Ibrahim Hinai

C&A Engineer, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO)

Ibrahim Saif Al-Hinai. Bachelor degree from Sheffield University, Master degree from New Castle University on advanced process control. Currently working as lead Control and Automation Engineer in Petroleum Development Oman within C&A function department. Thorough experience in instrumentation design for Mega PDO projects such Harweel 2AB (1 billion US $) and Yibal Khuff (2 Billion US $).

Mohammed Al Mandhari

Metering Specialist, Occidental Petroleum

Mohammed is currently a Metering Specialist working for OXY. His career is over 12 years’ rich in experience with more than half spent internationally. Mohammed started his career in New Zealand working for CES Communications and Beca Consultancy being involved in various wind farm studies, protection and control design to substation upgrades and major projects like the Victoria Desalination Plant in Australia. He joined the oil and gas industry with OXY’s Instrumentation, Controls, Automation and Telecommunications team in 2011. He has been involved in fiber optic telecommunication’s infrastructure, process equipment design, fiscal metering stations, wireless instrumentation, alarm management, process analyzers, water treatment plants and steam injection projects. Moreover, for 2 years he was a key engineer in the Electrical SCADA/Power Management System project engineered out of Houston, USA. Mohammed holds a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Hons.) from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He has completed a master’s level research in the topic Alternative/Renewable Energy. He has also achieved the Functional Safety Professional Certification from TUV:SUD.

Salim Sibani

Smart Field Project Manager, Petroleum Development Oman (PDO)

Salim Al Sibani is Smart Field Project Manager at PDO. He holds a B.S. Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering and Master Degree in Industrial Engineering from SQU. Salim has 24 years’ experience in Oil & Gas industry varying from Control & Automation, Reliability, Production Measurement, Hydrocarbon Accounting and Smart Field Operation. He is currently managing the Integrated Operation Center IOC project which will centralize all PDO operation (Monitoring and Control) in one location in Muscat. He has participated in many conferences and presented papers related to reliability, production measurement and other control & automation fields.
