Mohammed Al Mandhari
Metering Specialist, Occidental Petroleum
Mohammed is currently a Metering Specialist working for OXY. His career is over 12 years’ rich in experience with more than half spent internationally. Mohammed started his career in New Zealand working for CES Communications and Beca Consultancy being involved in various wind farm studies, protection and control design to substation upgrades and major projects like the Victoria Desalination Plant in Australia. He joined the oil and gas industry with OXY’s Instrumentation, Controls, Automation and Telecommunications team in 2011. He has been involved in fiber optic telecommunication’s infrastructure, process equipment design, fiscal metering stations, wireless instrumentation, alarm management, process analyzers, water treatment plants and steam injection projects. Moreover, for 2 years he was a key engineer in the Electrical SCADA/Power Management System project engineered out of Houston, USA.
Mohammed holds a Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (Hons.) from the University of Canterbury, New Zealand. He has completed a master’s level research in the topic Alternative/Renewable Energy. He has also achieved the Functional Safety Professional Certification from TUV:SUD.
